Andrew KeyAndrew Key was born and raised in Lancashire, and one of six children. His early career was in accounts and bookkeeping, and following that he served for seven years in Greater Manchester Police Special Constabulary in the Wigan division. After that,he retrained as an orthopaedic auxiliary nurse in Bolton NHS and moved into social care in 1999, co-founding a home care company in Blackburn. Later, with his wife and two teenage children, he moved to Bournemouth, where the desire to travel and 'move across the landscape' took hold.Partially inspired by Michael Palin's Around the World in 80 Days trip, he chose to complete the Camino De Santiago and hopes to complete other adventures in the next few years including other Camino routes, and publish additional books about his experiences.'As a boy I wanted to be a chef, then astronaut, then a secret agent, but did none of those things.
