Amy KoitAmy Koit is first and foremost a mother to three young children, Elisabeth, Richard and David. She lives in Sydney, Australia with her children and husband, Alaric. Amy became more intentional in teaching her children about money when her eldest chil was six years old. Over the years, she has researched various ways to teach children about money and has experimented many of these methods on her own children. Amy's system to teach children about money involves cultivating good money habits in children and it is a system that all parents can use teach their own children about money. Using her system, she has seen a transformation in the way her children perceive money and use money every day. Amy works as a lawyer. She has LLB (Hons) and B.Com degrees from the University of Queensland and a Master in Taxation from the University of New South Wales. She is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and a Fellow at The Tax Institute of Australia. Amy is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Amy has a passion for teaching, having taught at various universities including the University of Sydney and the University of NSW. She has received five Dean's Citation for Teaching over two years at the University of Sydney, where she teaches law to postgraduate students. Having heard so many parents comment that more should be done about children's financial literacy but many not knowing what ought to be done, she decided to use her passion for teaching to focus on helping parents become intentional in teaching their children about money.
