Amy BaklundAmy Baklund's love for dogs began in her early childhood when she and her brother would dress their Brittany Spaniels, Midge and Rags, in their dad's clothes. Amy has spent her career working in Fortune 50 consumer product and retail companies. Her pssion for animal and finding a cure for cancer led her to her philanthropic work in veterinary specialty medicine. She created a non-profit, Copan's Place 501(c)3, to find a cure for cancer after she lost her Bernese Mountain dog, Copan to cancer. She currently volunteers her time as the Vice President, Board of Directors at Ethos Discovery, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization devoted to delivering innovations that will improve the outcome for pets and humans afflicted with complex medical problems. Amy grew up in Bellingham, Washington and holds a B.A. from the University of Washington. She currently resides in La Jolla, California where she loves swimming at the beach. When she's not home Amy is traveling the world and been to 53 countries and counting. She wrote Charlie Enzo Needs a Home, A Dog Rescue Story during COVID-19 based on her core belief that when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Read More Read Less
