She worked as executive chef at Gusto and The Harrison before opening her first restaurant, Empire Diner, in 2013. Amanda has battled Bobby Flay on Iron Chef America, has a recurring role as a judge on the Food Network series Chopped, and stars with Ty Pennington on Food Network's American Diner Revival.
