Alyssa KapaonaAlyssa Kapaona has been in the field of education for over ten years. She has spent most of her time teaching, with classroom experience from preschool through college. Alyssa has a bachelor's of science degree in human development and family studieswith an emphasis on early childhood and a masters of education in educational administration (EDEA) with a focus on higher education, both from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.

Alyssa currently works as an academic advisor at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa and is pursuing a doctoral degree in EDEA. Her most important roles are wife and mother of two young girls.
