Alyson J McGregorAlyson J. McGregor, MD MA FACEP is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School, Brown University. Dr McGregor is the Co-Founder and Director of the Division of Sex and Gender in Emergency Medicine (SGEM) at Brown niversity's Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr McGregor also serves as the Co-Director for the SGEM Fellowship and currently serves as Topic Editor for the journal Clinical Therapeutics in women's health and gender medicine. Dr McGregor is a Co-Founder of, and on the Board of Directors of, the national organization Sex and Gender Women's Health Collaborative. Dr McGregor's research focus is on the effects that sex and gender have on emergent conditions, and she has been an advocate for this model nationally through talks such as 'Why Medicine Often Has Dangerous Side Effects for Women' on TED.com.
