Alina KarabchevskyDr. Alina Karabchevsky is a tenured Assistant Professor at Ben-Gurion University (BGU) of the Negev and heads the Light-on-a-Chip group at BGU which explores the interaction of light and matter on a chip. She serves as Chair of the IEEE Women in Engieering Affinity group Israel section. Dr Karabchevsky holds a PhD in Electrooptics Engineering, MSc and BSc in Biomedical Engineering. She was the recipient of the Alma Mater President's Award "Outstanding Woman in Science" and Research Fellow at the Optoelectronics Research Center at the University of Southampton thereafter.In 2015, she joined the Electrooptical Engineering Department at Ben-Gurion University as a faculty and established the Light-on-a-Chip group.
