Aliaksandr Piahanau obtained his PhD from the Toulouse University, and was an associate researcher at the Padova University and the Slovak Academy of Sciences. His expertise covers modern international relations and politics in Central and EasternEurope. He is the editor of Great Power Policies in Central Europe, 1914–45 (e-International Relations Publisher, 2018).
