Alexander S RogachevAlexander Sergeevich Rogachev is Head of the Laboratory for Dynamics of Micro-heterogeneous Processes in the Institute of Structural Macrokinetics and Materials Science (ISMAN), Russian Academy of Sciences, Chernogolovka, Moscow Region, Russia. He reeived a PhD in 1986 from the Institute of Chemical Physics Academy of Sciences of the USSR, and a DSc in 1995 from the Institute of Structural Macrokinetics, Russian Academy of Sciences. Since 2003 he has also been a Professor of the National University of Science and Technology "MISiS" (Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys). He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Self-Propagating High Temperature Synthesis. He is a member of the World Academy of Ceramics, the International Combustion Institute (Russian Section), and the Scientific Council on Combustion and Explosion Russian Academy of Sciences, and an expert of the Russian High Attestation Commission (Council on Metallurgy), Russian Science Foundation and Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
