Alexander GrigorenkoAlexander Grigorenko was born in Novocherkassk, south of Moscow, but has spent most of his life in the depths of Siberia. Since completing his studies at the Kemerovo University of Cinema and Photography, he has worked as a journalist for the East Sierian bureau of Rossiyskaya Gazeta (Russian Newspaper). Mebet is his highly-acclaimed debut novel, and the first installment of the trilogy, followed by Ilget and The Blind Man Lost His Fife which were published in 2013 and 2016 respectively. He is a finalist for the literary awards such as The Big Book (2012), NOS (2013), and Yasnaya Polyana (2015).
