In 1979, at the age of six, Alberto Vezendi was uprooted from the Great Hungarian Plain and planted in Spain, amidst the wonderful beaches and sharp peaks of Asturias. However, instead of root he grew wings, spread them wide and spent his summers travelling around Europe, mostly on his own, until he finally soared away from the nest. There he started a career as a conference interpreter that would take him to more than thirty countries around the world. For the next fifteen years his life was divided between France, Belgium, Hungary and Spain, until in 2013 he landed on the serene shores of Lake Geneva, where he still lives today. In 2018, after twenty years of being somebody else's voice, he decided to be his own and embarked on a new journey as a writer. This book is one step on that journey. Read More Read Less
