Alan GauldAfter graduation Alan Gauld spent several years as a Research Fellow at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and then moved to the Department of Psychology at the University of Nottingham, where he became Reader in Psychology, teaching principally biologicalpsychology and neuropsychology. He has maintained a keen interest in psychical research, writing or co-authoring several books in the genre including The Founders of Psychical Research (1968), Mediumship and Survival (1982), A History of Hypnotism (1992) and, with Ed and Emily Kelly et. al., Irreducible Mind (2007).
