Akanksha SrivastavaDr. Akanksha Srivastava has completed her Ph.D. in Life Science from Academy of Scientific and Industrial Research (AcSIR), CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR-CDRI), Lucknow, and has expertise in Microbiology, Fermentation Technology and Viroogy. Currently, she is working as a Research Scientist in the Department of Microbiology, IMS, BHU, Varanasi, India. Before joined Banaras Hindu University, she worked as Assistant Professor (Teaching Faculty) in Shakuntala Mishra Rehabilitation University, Lucknow in 2018. Moreover, while working as Junior Research Fellow and Senior Research Fellow (2009 to 2015) at CSIR-CDRI she isolated the microbial enzymes for the prevention of heart disease. Recently she conducted a workshop on Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP) at BHU, Varanasi. She was recipient of Women Young Scientist fellowship award from DST in WOS-A scheme. Furthermore, she got the ICMR- Research Associate (2019) and Senior Research Fellowship award in 2011. She is also serving as a reviewer for several reputed international peer-reviewed journals. She has published many research papers in acclaimed journals and has authored one book, many book chapters as well as review articles. She was awarded several awards and recognition from different organizations. She has collaborations with researchers in various countries including Israel, UK, the USA, Finland, etc. She has also received awards for excellence in research by the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, India, SGBRD Society, and SIEBS Society.
