An experienced researcher in electrical power systems, smart grids, and renewable energy technologies, he has tauht courses on smart grids and renewable energy to graduate students for several years, and his work has been cited over 5,500 times. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical power engineering from Shahid Chamran University, Iran, in 2002 and 2005 respectively, and received his PhD in electrical power engineering from University Putra Malaysia, Selangor, Malaysia, in 2014.
