Adérito SeixasAdérito Seixas is a physiotherapist, higher education teacher and clinical educator. Currently, alongside his work as a full time Professor on a Physiotherapy Graduate course and Master Program at Escola Superior de Saúde Fernando Pessoa (Porto, Portgal), he is carrying out research for his PhD, focusing in the biomechanical and thermophysiological assessment of the foot in diabetic patients at risk to develop foot ulcers, and has supervised over 100 graduate and master students in research activities. His research interests lie in evidence-based practice, assessment of the neuro-musculoskeletal system in a clinical, sporting and occupational context, and in the role of cognitive assessment in human adaptation to performance situations. He maintains editorial and reviewer activities in several international scientific journals indexed in reference databases. He has been member of the scientific or technical committee of 29 international and 9 national events, has edited 2 books, and has published 68 articles in scientific journals, 26 book chapters in international publishers, 38 full articles/abstracts in international conferences, and has authored or co-authored over 60 oral communications in international congresses.
