Abhilash NayakDr. Abhilash Nayak is working as a Senior Regional Director of IGNOU, in Patna, India. Having completed his PhD in Applied Linguistics from Sambalpur University, Sambalpur, Odisha in 2000, he moved to Chandigarh where he worked in Government PG Collee, Sector-46, Chandigarh and Regional Institute of English, Chandigarh until 2008 when he was appointed as a Regional Director of IGNOU. His books Kalyani Practical English Grammar (jointly authored by him and Dr. B K Tripathy) and Communicate Effectively in English have been popular with the readers. He has mainly contributed to the books Communicative English, Parts I & II of Odisha State Open University, Sambalpur, Odisha. His e-book Communicate2Connect is available on Wiki educator. He has been the General Editor (Language) for two series of books (PEARLS and RIPPLES) from KG-I to Standard VIII published by Future Kids, Faridabad. Many of his research papers on different aspects of English language, literature, use of ICT in Teaching of English, Indian Writing in English and open, online and distance education have been published in national and international journals.
