Holder of PhD in English Literature and comparative literary studies from Plymouth University/UK. Researcher of war literature and English poetry of the Twentiet century. Published researches including a chapter in the book War, Experience and Memory in Global Cultures since 1914, Routledge: Taylor & Francis Group New York, and a research in the Impact Journal entitled Western Modernism translated and retranslated in Iraqi poetry: Al Sayyab between Edith Sitwell and T. S. Eliot, 2016. Abdul Zahra Zaki (Short Bio) An Iraqi poet born in 1955 south of Iraq. Zaki published around several poetry collections including The Hand Discovers and The Book of The Wizard. His major work This Is Bread published in 1995 a pioneer in Iraqi poetry works that presented the suffering of Iraqis under the International Sanctions that lasted until 2003. Silent Film 2011 was the first poetry book that outspoken the terrible events of the civil war after 2003.
