A Knighton StanleyRev. Dr. A. Knighton Stanley served as Senior Minister of Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ in Washington, DC for 38 years. A graduate of Talladega College, he earned a Master's Degree from Yale University and a Doctorate from Howard Uniersity. Dr. Stanley was the writer of many articles and former publisher of "The New American Missionary," and the author of The Children is Crying: Congregationalism Among Black People and A View from my Window: 15 Sermons of Hope and Assurance.
