A Kay MathesAuthor A. Kay Mathes lives among the picturesque hills of Osage County and works full time in Downtown Tulsa; the perfect blend of a rural and urban life. A born entertainer, she started singing on stage at church as just a toddler and was a leading ctor in her high school's drama club. She also did some modeling in her twenties. She has spent her entire adult life working in the tax industry, for the same accounting firm, but that hardly defines who she is. Writing is her escape. She enjoys teaming up with her younger sister, illustrator Cassondra Ellis, and they published their first children's book, Solar Stroll, in 2013 under their own publishing company, Ellis Sisters Publishing House, but have since made Yorkshire Publishing their home. Mathes is also a singer-songwriter who dabbles in other mediums of art, such as painting, and is an ordained minister of marriage who owns an elopement venue with her husband. Traveling is a passion that she and her husband share and Ireland is a favorite destination of theirs.
