A I TankoAdamu Idris Tanko, PhD, is a Professor of Geography and the Dean, Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at Bayero University Kano, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society with the Institute of British Geographers (FRGS/IBG). He as managed field research in Northern Nigeria and beyond for about 25 years and has led a number of funded researches. His main areas of research are: environment and development and irrigation management. He has published widely in the Social Sciences and has written four books.
