Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2004 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 1,7, Universität Mannheim, Veranstaltung: Hauptseminar "Aktuelle Inszenierungen am Nationaltheater", Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Lustspiel Minna von Barnhelm hat deutsche Theatergeschichte geschrieben. Bereits zu Lessings Lebzeiten wurde es zum Zeitzeugnis der neuen deutschen Dramenentwicklung. Die aufgeklärte Vorstellung Lessings der vernunftorientierten, sittlichen Erziehung des Menschen, die das Denk- und Empfindungsvermögen gleichermaßen anspricht, machte die Minna von Barnhelm zu einer konkreten Anregung zur aktiven Humanität. Gerade das Verhalten der Hauptfiguren gegenüber anderen Figuren offenbart Hinweise auf eine zielgerichtete "Erkenntnisanweisung" für den Zuschauer. Welche Rolle spielt die Ökonomie im humanitären Verhältnis zwischen Herr(in)- Diener(in) und welchen Status haben dabei Glück, Ehre und Liebe? In der Entstehungsphase des Stücks war Lessing geprägt durch Eindrücke aus der europäischen Komödientradition und seinem eigenen Konzept des bürgerlichen Tugendethos. Zum ersten Mal gelingt es dem Dichter ein zeitloses Drama zu schaffen, das Elemente aus der Komödie und Tragödie nutzt, und zu einer "wahren Komödie"1 vereint. Die Abhängigkeit von Ehre, gesellschaftlicher Stellung, finanziellem Wohlstand und streben nach persönlichem Glück bringen die dramatische Entwicklung des Stücks dabei entscheidend voran. Dass Geld hierbei eine wesentliche Rolle einnimmt, ist äußerst interessant. Durch Tellheim wird die Ökonomie mit der gesellschaftlichen Ehre verknüpft und als Basis für eine glückliche Liebe gesetzt. Das "Geld-Glück-Motiv" zeigt sich nicht nur in der Beziehung zwischen den beiden Hauptfiguren, sondern erstreckt sich auch auf deren Verhältnis zu ihren Bediensteten. Der Mangel an Geld und der daraus entstandene Mangel an Ehre machen für Tellheim sein persönliches Unglück aus. Doch sieht jede Figur im Stück Tellheims Schicksal aus einer individuellen Pers
