I have been infatuated with Jane ever since I started working as an intern at Glenco auto shop. The first time I reported there for duty was quite embarrassing, as I truly appeared to have gotten lost on where to go or what to do. My name is Joshua Craig, a young graduate still fresh out of school and wanting a lot of experience in my field of automobile engineering. I plan on either starting my own auto shop or going to work for a giant automobile company. I was 22 years old when I started working at Glenco as an intern. I was the youngest amidst the rest of the staffs. The owner of the company- Mr Glen Whitfield; was the oldest at the age of 50 years. The staffs, apart from Mr Glen and his two personal assistants that made up the management, were twelve in number. I was the thirteenth and currently the youngest. Everyone made jest of me, when I first started working at Glenco. Statements like: "Hey there fresh meat. You are really hot" or "You sure you can pull it off boy? With those smooth baby hands and face of yours?" Were all what I had to endure.
Everything was entirely intimidating at first, I felt so alone, until Jane came into the picture and rescued me from their verbal jabs. Jane would only chuckle at their playful jibes and told me to relax and that they were only playing with me. It was not until much later, after seeing Mr Glen in his office that I could relax and believe her; when the staffs all came one by one to greet me normally and welcome me to the company with smiles and pats on the back. The management divulged that I was actually the first intern to be accepted for training by the company. Also, I gathered from Jane that Glenco does not have the culture of accepting interns and has always accepted only experienced and capable hands to work for the company.
"Well maybe it was something about you that had made old Glen to have a change of heart"; Jane said said. Her calming voice, smile and approach; relieved me from the initial trepidation.
I could only smile and shrug in return.
"Well I'll try not to disappoint all of you then, if that is the case." I said.
"Aww! Come on, there's no need worrying yourself too much about that. You are new and it is normal to feel the way you do, especially when you are being placed on watch as a new worker"; Jane said. "I can assure you that you have not come to the wrong place. You will soon see why Glenco, despite not being a large corporation, is quite popular in this area. Again, do not mind the staffs and their expensive jokes, they always mean well most of the time except; when they are being naughty." She further encouraged me.She laughed when she notice my reaction to her last statement, but Jane immediately told me that she was only pulling my legs.
