El género lírico, y dentro de él fundamentalmente la poesía, ya que no podemos desconocer las manifestaciones líricas en prosa, está asociado desde la antigüedad a la expresión de los sentimientos del hombre. Este es el caso de la autora de "Cuando callan los labios" Priscila Contreras Vergel (Priscila Chelle), quien ha surgido dentro de la literatura colombiana como una fuente pura y clara de sentimientos. La poesía es un proceso de subjetivización a través del cual Priscila expresa sus más variados sentimientos, sensaciones y emociones. Ya sea de forma directa, como a través de símbolos externos tomados de la realidad, nos transmite una poesía plagada de alegría, amor, belleza, plenitud, nostalgia, dicha y placer. Es una poeta que expresa lo que su "yo" como individuo siente, no le ha interesado mostrar los sentimientos colectivos de un pueblo, por ejemplo, para recrearlos en sus poemas, es la presencia de los sentimientos individuales más próximos lo que dominan su poesía. Esta poeta colombiana, ha sabido fusionar su profesión de administradora de empresas con la literatura, disciplina que la ha hecho conocida fuera de Colombia, como es el caso de España y de diversos países sudamericanos. El estilo de la poesía de Priscila es muy particular y propio, esto se debe a que el material poético con que trabaja la autora es fundamentalmente su intimidad. Son textos que giran en torno al tema del amor, la esperanza, los sueños, la poesía, la ternura, entre otros. Es destacable la claridad en el discurso poético de Priscila, quien no prescinde de figuras literarias tales como comparaciones, metáforas, personificaciones, hipérboles, hipérbaton, elipsis, reiteraciones, entre otras, pero que nunca intentan buscar un hermetismo intelectual, no le interesa, es una poesía que fluye como un río. About the Author: Priscila Contreras Vergel nació en la ciudad de Pailitas, Departamento del Cesar, República de Colombia, solo vivió dos años en esa ciudad que abandonó para comenzar un periplo que la llevó por distintas ciudades; Cúcuta, Arauca, Ocaña y el regreso nuevamente a Cúcuta donde culminó sus estudios de bachillerato. Posteriormente estudió la carrera de Administración de Empresas, en la Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander. Esta poeta colombiana, nortesantandereana por adopción, ha sabido fusionar su profesión de administradora de empresas con la literatura, disciplina que la ha hecho conocida fuera de Colombia, como es el caso de España y de diversos países sudamericanos. Si bien esta poeta comenzó a escribir como un pasatiempo, con el tiempo y gracias al mundo digital, logró despertar en primer lugar el interés de los escritores chilenos. Desde ese país se transmite por Radio América, de Satelitevisión-Americavisión (http: //satelitevisión.es.tl/) el conocido programa literario "Alma y Corazón" de la periodista chilena América Santiago, donde los poemas de Priscila, por su valor literario, lograron cautivar a la audiencia chilena y americana. Esto llevó a que su nombre comenzara a ser conocido en los más prestigiosos muros internacionales de poesía, como por ejemplo: Yo poeta, Poesía y Soy Poesía. En el año 2011 vio la luz en la revista "La Plaquetería" (revista literaria del Círculo Poético Orensano, Ourense- España), una selección de poemas escogidos, titulados "Armonía perfecta" publicación que Priscila compartió con la poeta asturiana María Méndez, quien participó con su libro "Duele el corazón".
