About the Book

---------- The Bible says that Jesus is THE way, THE truth and THE life (John 14:6). Most Christians know this scripture, but if they had a total revelation of what it means and all it entails, they would be walking in the same power that Jesus walked in when He lived on the earth. Jesus fulfilled God's plan for man by living in and ministering through the anointing in Him, and said greater works will we do than He did (John 14:12). Those works are a mystery to most modern Christians, but the First Century Saints of God not only understood the mystery of God's greater works, they daily did them. ---------- Christianity is not a religion of man-made dogma and doctrine. It is fellowship with our creator. It is God Almighty, the Father of love and life, birthing and raising His family to bond with Him and enjoy the supernatural, miraculous, prosperous, totally-fulfilling life of Christ in them. Christ means "the anointed one" and "Christ in you" means the Holy Ghost anointing power and presence of God in you. This is God's glorious plan for all of us. It was a plan that began in the book of Genesis and culminated four thousand years later, when God sent Jesus to destroy the works of Satan and fulfill God's plan for man to be made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26; Romans 8:29; 1 John 3:8). Jesus was the first Spirit-born, Spirit-filled man. He was the first man to fully work out His salvation and become conformed into the image and likeness of God in man. We, through Jesus, can likewise get Spirit-born, Spirit-filled, work out our salvation and become conformed into the image of God. We can live freed from Satan, self, sin, sickness and lack. Like our First Century forefathers, we can minister the good news of our freedom and abundant life in Christ to our family, friends and others with the same miracles signs and wonders Jesus did. ---------- God is not a respecter of persons. He did not give His first disciples anything more or different than what He has provided for us. The way the First Century Christians lived and ministered isn't unique to them. We can have what they had and do what they did. Once you have that revelation, you can study and apply God's scriptures to your life and live in the parental blessing that God spoke into man in the Garden of Eden. You will take back dominion over your personal life. You will enjoy the peace and prosperity of living in heavenly places in Christ Jesus upon earth. You will grow beyond a child of God and become a mature, love-filled, faith-empowered, Word-ministering, miracle-manifesting son or daughter of God who prospers in all your ways. ---------- For more than 35 years, authors Gayle and Mike Mooney have learned to live and minister the faith filled, miraculous, abundant life of Jesus Christ. A few years ago God put on their hearts to create Agape Alive Ministries through which they share their experience, strength, hope and testimony of God's goodness. Beyond A Child Of God explores God's plan for man begun in Genesis with Adam and Eve, fulfilled with Jesus' death, burial and resurrection and manifested in the lives of His First Century New Testament believers. By reading and applying the Biblical truth found in this book, you too can grow beyond a child of God and fulfill Father's plan for your life.
About the Author: The husband and wife team of Gayle and Mike Mooney have been living and sharing their lives in Christ for more than 30 years. A native of New Orleans, Gayle attended parochial school through the 12th grade and then obtained a BA in History at the University of New Orleans. While in college she also took courses in religious communications at Loyola University and then went on to earn her Masters in Communications. She took additional courses in journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia and, while raising four children, continued to write free lance articles including several for religious publications, and produce tracts and newsletters for various churches. She also worked part time as a videographer for the State of Missouri for 24 years. Several years ago the Lord spoke to her through Psalm 26:7: "That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works," a leading she has followed since. Gayle serves in the audio visual ministry at her church, helps Mike produce religious programs for the local cable access channel and also ministers in prison, home groups and at other Christian gatherings with her husband. Mike grew up in Uniondale on Long Island in New York. He attended St. John's University (Jamaica, NY) where he earned a BA in English and Education. He joined the United States Air Force in 1972 and when the Vietnam War ended he used his G.I. Bill to obtain an MA in Speech Communications from the University of Virginia, and an MFA in Theater from the University of New Orleans. In January 1977, Mike came to grips with his alcoholism and turned his will and his life over to God. He entered into a doctoral program in Theater at the University of Missouri-Columbia. After winning seven national play writing awards in five years, God stirred Mike to go into the streets and begin preaching and teaching the Word of God. Supporting his family with a locksmith business, Mike has been personally mentoring and publically ministering God's miraculous Word and abundant life ever since. He ministers in jails, prisons, hospitals, on the street, over TV, through the Internet and at home groups, Christian meetings and tent revivals. The couple live in Columbia, Missouri with their teenage daughter and three grown sons.
