Peggy Joyce ChaneyPeggy Chaney was born to a Baptist preacher during the Great Depression, and was one of eleven children who lived out their lives in and around Kings Mountain, North Carolina. Around Kings Mountain, Peggy is best remember for her 20+ years of cookingat the restaurant which bore her name (though Peggy's Restaurant was owned and operated by her sister, Loretta Chaney).
