Elliott, a resident of Southbury, Connecticut, became interested in the Bund incident when she helped the archivist organize and scan the documents and newspaper clippings in the Bund collection for the Southbury Historical Society. She enoys historical research and sharing her latest finds through the historical society newsletter, brochures, panel displays, blogs, two books on local history, and one children's book. Melinda and her husband have three children, all living nearby, and seven grandchildren to spoil.
