Ingar PalmlundIngar Palmlund, Ph.D. in 'Environment, Technology, Society', is Swedish. She has lived in many countries, but since the millennium her home is in London, UK. An avid book reader, writing A Royal Patient has been a journey of pleasure, exploring counties and cultures she knows well. For many years she worked in the Swedish civil service and then, also for many years, lectured on international environmental policy at Tufts University, USA. Her research interests concern how society evaluates risks to human health and environment, in particular how women's health issues are addressed and handled by the medical community and the pharmaceutical industry.
