Al BacchusAl Bacchus, PhD, is a wellness coach, writer and retired college professor. He is a pioneer in wellness education. In 1984, he developed what he believes is the first college level course with wellness in its title- Personal Wellness & Self-Realizatin- for University of Maryland University College (now University of Maryland Global Campus). In 2004, he used the framework from the above course to create and teach Christ-Centered Wellness for Columbia Union College (now Washington Adventist University). His major life's purpose is to promote high-level wellness and the practical applications of love to produce harmony, peace, and satisfaction in life. He emphasizes personal growth in positive qualities embodied in the symbols (archetypes) of the Warrior, Miracle-Worker, Lover and Ruler.
